Drove in a pretty good rain storm the other day. Later that day found the little rectangular "cup" to the left of the back seat on drivers side with about 3/4" of water in it. No wetness anywhere else to be found. It looks like water was forced passed 2 rubber seals at the bottom of the door. Just on the driver's side. Anyone else have this problem?

I had this exact thing happen on my 22 one time. I had it for 10 months and 20,000 miles, it never happen again.

I haven’t had it happen on my 23.

Mines a '23 hybrid. Very weird. I might take a hose to it and see if I can make it happen while I watch.

It happened right after I took delivery on the driver side floor mat after a hard rain but it hasn’t happened again 🤞🏻

She might get tested again this week if this Tropical Depression 10/Tropical Storm/Hurricane decides to visit NE FL 😖 She doesn’t have a garage here☹

I'm pretty convinced it was road spray that was forced up through the bottom gap.

Just got home and did the hose test. Sure enough it's coming in from behind the bottom of the door panel. Most likely same problem as described in the link that was so graciously provided. Hopefully my dealer will be happy to help rectify this quickly.

Took in to dealer yesterday. They said they found something clogged with silicone preventing draining inside door and also drilled some holes in something to further prevent. Not sure what that's about. Didn't have chance to hose test but I will.

I’m having a very similar problem right now myself. I’ve had it “repaired” once already. About to go through round two of the process to discover the problem.

Update. Dealer had truck for a day and a half. Said the water was getting in from door handle. Apparently the seals were defective. Said they replaced the door handle. Day after I picked up truck we had about 8 inches of rain over 2 days. No water. I guess they fixed it this time.

Water can come into the door area from the place where the quarter panel bolts to the cab, too. There's a gap there you can see thru. 😬

In my case, it was leaking out of the bottom of the door, between the door panel and the door itself, so it was easy to figure out it just involved only the door. If it didn't leak after last weekends torrents, it will never leak.

Another update. No more water as of now, but now I have an unbearable musty odor coming from the carpet on the floor where the water was leaking in. Another call to the dealer, and another day of leaving my car next Monday. I know they're just going to detail, vacuum, etc. So I'm sure this won't be the end of it.
