You definitely want to resolve this. You may find you that you actually bought a "used" vehicle. I've bought service loaners in the past. I was able to claim the new car rebates, but the warranty clock had started from the day the dealership declared them service loaners.
I guarantee that didn’t happen with a whopping 19 miles on the clock.

Hey Rob- I would have to agree!… It just had 19 miles on it from 12-17 to 12-21 as they did the PDI and test drive, they also are a small country dealership, like Old school…lol so they had to drive it a bit to gas it up… they had one person test drive it I believe… that’s when I called back and put a sold hold $500 refundable on it that same morning (12/21). The paperwork all shows new vehicle, and, I got to take all the plastic stuff off inside… that was fun! Either way, enjoying this forum, you guys are awesome, and the Maverick is one hell of a truck!! I will follow up after Monday on what I find out.
Thanks Gabe

Check with your dealer. On another vehicle that we got, the dealer reported to ford that I had bought it 10 days before we actually picked it up. This is the date that ford uses to start the warranty.
It came back to bite them…. My wife got the customer sat survey before we bought it. The buying process took way to long and when she was upset about it she opened up the survey and blasted them! All before we actually signed on the dotted line. I’m not worried about the date. We always exceed miles before the time

Got it fixed. Finally… they didn’t understand why it had wrong date…but the date they used that was wrong was the date the truck was received on the lot.

This thread came up in my search. I checked my ford.com account and saw that the warrantee start date was posted on the Maverick I ordered (I got a VIN in November). The date shows 13 FEB 2022. I haven't heard from the dealer about the truck arriving yet though.

So that means the truck will be there on 2/13/22 that’s what happened with mine… not cool! Get it fixed a day can be the difference between you buying a new engine or tranny etc lol

I am getting it shipped overseas so I am guessing that maybe that was when it was loaded on the boat. Maybe the dealer will update it when I actually get it. I am not to worried about it though.

One, I doubt it will have a serious issue in the warranty time and two, if it does, I don't think it will be difficult to show when I actually bought it.
