It all depends on how you (and the people responding to your question) define "trails and off road". If you define off road the way The Fast Lane Truck does - then your Maverick probably ain't gonna make it. If you're doing really soft off road (gravel or dirt with ruts) then no problem. And a million things in-between hardcore and softcore "off road".

Sorry, that's not much of an answer. But your question is really vague. If you post photos of the exact kind of terrain you intend to traverse, we can all be a lot more helpful. There are a few threads on MTC from some folks who have overlanded their Mavericks on mild terrain - no problems. And they posted lots of photos.

Basically what Scott said. If it's forest service roads, you're probably ok. If it's actual off-roading that requires articulation or high ground clearance, better stay home.

What are your buddies driving and how are their vehicles set up?

The stock Mav (as opposed to the Tremor) has virtually no approach angle. The front is way too low to do anything other than a gravel road. But I believe you Mav comes with a front skid plate, so you'll get some protection.

It depends on the trail IMHO. Keep in mind like was posted about approach angle and ground clearance. Here is a couple u-tube videos. I believe at least one is not stock may have a lift but definitely upgraded size tires to increase ground clearance. Your Maverick with 225 is 8.6 just 235 should increase it to 8.855 this is without airing down which will decrease these numbers. After watching the videos pay attention to the reviews, hopefully this will give you some idea what they can do.

This is not trails but an hill that other vehicles couldn't make it up.

Lastly if you do a search there are threads where they have taken them on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan.

So it depends what kind of trails, probably more than gravel roads but definitely not rock climbing.

There are several videos I just grabbed a few that I thought maybe helpful for you to decide. Keep in mind that yes you have a skid plate but the other fiber ones I believe to help ergonomics for better fuel economy are easy to damage. Best of luck on you decision if you go start a thread with your experience and some pictures.

Just for reference a lot of side by sides have a minimum of 10 inches up to 14 inches no lift and stock tires.
