So today I decided take Greddle on some forest service trails about 10 or so miles from house. They were quite snowy but the awd system was working flawlessly keeping me moving. I was going to one the turn arounds they have setup. Well it didn't turn out so good I went straight onto the trx and then next thing I feel is my rear end start to slide off track an on ice. I spent close to 3hrs trying to get unstuck. I have feeling I'm gonna to go upgrade tires sooner rather than later.

I was in mild snow up in Boone 1-2” of ice snow and slush. I’ve got the Falken Wildpeak tires. I tried to get my Maverick to slide and move around but every time I touched the gas, it straightened up and went where I pointed. It was pretty boring and reliable.

Gotta say my 22 xlt fx4k has never has a single issue in any weather that maine has thrown at it since October 2021. First winter I had snow up to the top of the tires and except for shoveling the driver door out and taking the top couple inches off the end of driveway where the plows had pushed up and it iced over which basically did nothing to the amount around I had to go through. I hopped in and drove out like it wasn't there. I jave owned 4x4 trucks, Subarus, jeeps and none of the. Have held a candle to the maverick awd ecoboost.

My truck came with the Faulken wildpeak at3w tires which have been great. And I bought a set for my work van and I can say the tires didn't really help the Promaster which is pretty much the worst thing to drive in the snow. So I had to throw studded snows on that.

I plan to trade my maverick in for another one in the next year or so cause I am near 50k and it's about time. Unfortunately I don't like the new grill style though but ohh well

I had to pull my loaded snowmobile trailer up a decent snow covered incline recently, and was impressed my Maverick did so well. I had Toyo AT tires installed before I bought it, which I'm sure helped.

I did notice a feeling like the power was being transferred rather quickly between the tires. This is the first AWD vehicle I have had, so......? I'd not noticed that power transfer sensation from my 4wd trucks or my wifes 4wd Jeep. AWD might be why?

But it worked, I got up the hill, and that's the important part. (y)
