Voice activation problems?

I would like to know if there are any who have problems with voice control, I have a lot of difficulty making a phone call, it tells me rather the model of my phone and does not dial the number!

I rarely have any luck with the voice button for commands on my F-250 (it's a 2018 - don't have my Maverick yet). I have a Samsung and use Android Auto so when my phone is plugged into the usb it's as simple as saying "OK Google" and that works much better.
Not sure if Siri works on voice activation or not. If so, give that a try?
