Even though I own an XLT with LUX and am happy with it, I'll be the first to say that the natural, best trim of the Maverick is XL with steelies. And steelies look really good with dark blue.

I remember when some cars came without Air Conditioning. And they didn’t badge em up with xl or XLT.
We had Caprice or Caprice classic.
Or Lincoln Continental, stuff like that.
All on the dealer lots,
About the only reason to special order was if you wanted a specific color.

My 2021 Bronco sport was a ‘Base’ model. It had cruise control, I was happy and had no problems adjusting my manual seats.

Some days my Lariat makes me feel like an old man.
No wait !
Oh crap!
I am an old man, how the hell did that happen ?

The XL/XLT/Lariat trim levels have been limited to trucks; Ranger, F-150, F-250, the Explorer, etc, never used on cars. They date back to the 1970s.

XL (originally only on F-250, F-350) means Extra Large, and was used for versions with 10ft beds! Of course now it means, Extremely Limited features. :p
XLT = Extra Luxurious Truck started with the F-150.

It must have been the infinitely cloudy skies here in South Central Pa., York... that gave it a slight hue of blue

My first car was a 79 mustang, the first year of the Fox body. It had no AC, just vent.

First car was 59 VW bug . no heater boxes . had razor blade to scrape frost off inside of windshield during cold Cleveland Ohio weather . had cabio top ( partial convertible top ) with running boards . Had great fun with that car at 16 years old .

Maverick is utilitarian for me . very peppy and enjoyable to drive imo .
