So I pay $10 for 2 to 3day delivery and it always takes 5 to 7 days. Is it not false advertising as well as theft??

Nope no false advertising, no mail theft. You paid for standard Priority Mail with an estimated delivery date.
There's Priority Mail Express with a "guaranteed" delivery date or its refundable.
All depends on which service is used, whether a refund is due.
You could have also used FedEx.

2-3 day is NOT priority mail express and thus not eligible for that refund. For standard, the "this is not a guarantee" line applies.

Nope.
It's called an "estimated" delivery, and failing to meet an estimate isn't theft.
If you prefer spending a lot more, either Fedex or UPS are available.
They seldom meet their estimated delivery times either.

And many times you have to read the terms of the company selling the product you are paying for faster service from.

They will say expedited shipping or similar - using the same terms the shipping company uses on the option you are selecting.
But their further wording shows it's faster on THEIR side, of like getting it boxed up and to the shipping company.

So you are paying extra 10 dollars for the seller to move faster and get a box out the door - not even faster actual shipping.
Or you are paying for faster shipping, but they still lag getting it out the door which doesn't count.

I've noticed that extreme on eBay purchases usually when you read the lines carefully.
Some sellers are really fast getting it out the door standard pricing, the possible 1 extra day for the shipper who cares.
Some seem to indicate they may take upwards of 5 days to deal with your order - ugh.

Is FedEx any better? Shipping topics always seem to bring out a lot of mixed experiences. USPS Priority can be quick, but it really depends on timing and location. It’s similar to when people ask what are customers saying about FedEx delivery services? you’ll get both positive and negative stories. Have you had consistent results with it so far? I’ve seen packages arrive early just as often as delayed. It really comes down to the specific route sometimes.
