USB Type C No Longer Working

I'd bet that you in the initial stages of battery or BCM failure. Are you getting problems with the interior lights not coming on as expected?

No its just the front USB port. I checked all the fuses and they all seemed good. Turned back on the car and all of a sudden it works. Ill have to see if it stays like that.

Hi, just FYI that Ford account packed up and left at the beginning of the year, so they won't reply here. Depending on who you ask, they rarely offered much besides having your dealer contact you.

Only had the truck for a few days and suddenly the type C port stopped working. It does not charge the phone or connect it in any way. There was no damage or anything pulled out it just stopped working. I have tried multiple type C to type C cables and still not working. Any idea for a solution?



The regular type A port works and I can connect my phone and charge it with no problem. Seems to be isolated to the type C port.

Update: I tested all associated fuses for the USB and they all check out. As mentioned, I believe the problem pertains to the plug assembly. I'll be contacting my dealer soon. Sucks that I've had the truck for less than a week and this problem exists.

If you want to skip a dealer trip get one of these from Amazon if used for just charging. Also lets you know battery charge status for about 8 bucks.

Thanks. I ended up taking it back to the dealership and they swapped out the right part. No problem since then, but thanks for the alternative solution.

For myself, I had the truck about 3 days from the dealership when the problem started. They replaced it for free in about 1/2 a day.
