Hello all!
With the help of some holiday amazon gift cards, I was able to get some essentials for my Granger-bought, bare bones XL EB FWD in Carb Gray on the cheap. I went with OEM mudflaps, Smartliner all weather mats, Tiptop roll-up tonneau cover, and an Ecarzo center console organizer. Definitely satisfied with these upgrades for the price. I'm coming up on 3,000 miles in the Mav and am really enjoying this little truck. Smooth, quiet ride, plenty of utility for small DIY jobs, great MPG...what more could you want for $19,180 out the door?

The Smartliner mats are perfectly fitted and feel like they'll hold up a long time. OEM mudflaps were an easy install and I think they make the bare bones XL look a little more finished. Just looks like something that should have already been there. I had never purchased anything from Tiptop, but at $169 (normally $199 but was on sale), I was willing to take the chance. The tonneau cover fits great, plenty of tension right out the box, comparable in quality to a previous cheap cover (Tyger top) I had bought on amazon for an old truck. Let's be honest, most of the cheap ones are probably rolling off the same line. :ROFLMAO: Center console organizer was a perfect fit and made sense for me due to how deep the console is. Pricing, links, and a couple exterior pictures below. Hope it helps if you're considering these items!

With taxes, my all-in price for all this stuff was $444.13. Pre-Tax breakdown with links below.

- Tiptop Roll-Up Tonneau Cover $169
- Smartliner Custom Fit All Weather Mats $120.50
- Ford OEM Front and Rear Mudflaps $106.89
- Ecarzo Center Console Organizer $19.99

Looks great, did you add the tailgate lettering also? Really adds a lot to the plain tailgate and inexpensive too.

Yes sir, added those right around the time I purchased it. That was another upgrade to me that just made the truck look more 'finished' but to each their own.
$29.99 on amazon. They offer various colors/finishes. Fairly thick raised letters that adhered well.

Looks real nice!

Did you do anything to protect the paint where the mud guards attach?

Just washed and waxed pre-install. No real experience with paint protection. Was thinking it will be easy enough to pop off the bottom couple screws in 6 months to a year and see how it looks. If things are looking gnarly will just take them off, clean it up, and reassess at that point. Good looking out! Glad you mentioned it, will keep an eye out.

I would definitely put some ppf behind the flaps. I have seen what a little sand/dirt (that will get behind the flaps) can due in a short amount of time to the finish. Don't wait too long. Go to your local (or closest if there is one) ppf installer and ask for some scrap pieces. My guy gives me some free or trashes them.

Nice. I am bummed that I did not take granger seriously when I ordered my hybrid in 2021. Because a) I do not have yet and b) I could have saved 3k.

Do you mind taking a picture of the front wheel well? I’m interested in the strut and how it differs from the hybrid.

I’m also digging those maverick letters. still not completely sold, but getting there🙂

Thanks for the tip! I will definitely look into getting some and get it done. I think there's a shop up the street from me that does it.

The easiest way to install the ppf is to tape a piece of ppf where you want it and position the flap and trace around it. Trim slightly larger than the flap. Make sure to clean area thoroughly and if truck has been waxed use alcohol to clean.

I am not familiar with ppf. How strong is it, and is it possible, that through time, it will wear through exposing the paint?

Pretty tough stuff. Might replace/check in 5 years or so to be safe. Had mine on for 8 years before I sold my last truck and still was intact w/no wear thru
