Was wondering if there is an existing product out there for this purpose. I was also thinking that putting in plastic sheeting such as the type used to protect floors when doing interior renovation, might cause moisture to be trapped under the bedliner, potentially causing/accelerating rust and/or mold. Hence why I though of several stickers/decals on the 'peaks' of the bed. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

May I ask what are your plans for the bed post bed liner?

I was going to put a tonneau cover over top of it. No grand plans I just don't want it to get rusted out over winter is my short term goal

Not sure where you were going, but I was going to ask similar because...

If he plans to spray in bed liner, then scratches are just part of the process of prep.

Not sure if OP had the idea that I did, of being able to keep the bed in good condition and remove the liner when not doing heavy hauling. I found through research, my first truck, this would be hard to keep the bed in good condition because the liner can move and scratch the bed.

I would guess even with a foam liner you'll have the problem of stuff getting under the foam and still scratching the bed over time 🤷‍♂️.

I'm settling on doing a raptor liner after delivery and buying a heavy duty bed bag for dirty hauling days. Love the idea idea of HF cargo unloader too. Wonder if I can make it work with the bed bag.

Still searching for ideal products besides SIBL...

I had Line-X sprayed in last Monday. I dislike plastic bedliners.
I am putting in an inexpensive ( $ 99.95) rubber bed mat on top of Line-X.
The Line-x protects from rust and the bed mat will hopefully save the floor of the bed from dings and dents.
That is my plan anyway.

I should also mention that crawling on a bedliner's or the bed's ribs is extremely painful for my old worn out knees. The bed mat helps ease that discomfort for me.

I am writing to pitch after-market spary in bedliner, SIBL. For the cost difference between drop-in and SIBL you will find the latter to be so much more useful. It also absorbs noise, provides a good non slip surface and adds value to your vehicle. You won't need to store a drop in liner and when you unexpectedly need to haul something the SIBL is there. It won't fly out of the bed and moisture won't collect. You won't need to clean out leaves and debris as you do before putting in the drop in. Seems like a no brainer for anyone who uses the Mav as a truck. My two cents.

I believe Weathertech makes a "bed rug" for under-bedliner use. Never knew why.
