Even though the tailgate isn't that heavy, the addition of a gas spring greatly improves it when lowering. Also, the hood prop-up rod is so 1940's that I just had to install gas springs there as well. The under hood pad didn't really damp the noise much, but maybe a little.

Does anyone know of any fender well inserts for noise damping?

I can see a bit of my 2024 Lariat Eco Inner fender sound proofing.
A heat resistant stick on, bout a quarter Inch thick at most. I see more on the Inside. Yeah It makes a diff.
Tire/Road noise is loud, wind can get loud. The motor, not so much unless you stomp on it.

Keep your under hood pad in place. A little here, a little there, It adds up.

My main quiet down tech is the Lariats Sound deadening windshield. There is IMO no wind noise coming through my windshield.
I think a member put one in after cracking his. If I remember is was about a $40 up charge, minimal. I think he said is was a nice noticeable Upgrade.

Oh no, something is now missing from this photo:

Don't let the addition of the tailgate strut mean you lose a tie-down point.

In addition to replacements you might find on Amazon, I have an option available also that I make and sell.

Works well and clears the new strut and no issues with the cable. And made in the USA by a fellow Maverick owner. I have a thread here in the For Sale forum.

Don't lose a tie-down point!

The hood however is not so 1940s....and you run the risk of damaging it by using the gas struts. To each their own.

Not to mention the risk of your head being damaged when they slowly lose gas and the first cold day of the year sends the hood crashing down when you least expect it...lol
My thoughts exactly. Not too mention the huge dent in the aluminum hood!

The aluminum hood is easily dented but, dang, you must be "hard-headed"???
