So i had a bit of spare time tonight and i found what i was looking for on forscan!

Wouldn't two lines down "front LED bulb outage" enabled tell the system to treat bulbs as LED's instead of incandescents?????

That's moving the goalpost. The FORScan method involves outright disabling the detection of turn/brake bulbs that are out, so we know that it will not work.

No, you can choos3 front and rear independantly... the lasfit bulb will prevent you to get a hyperblink when tthe bulb fails as well

The whole point is to not modify the harness.... to me it seems pointless if you can do it for free with forscan and not pay a dime or damage the oem harness

Put the original bulbs back in. I don't get the need to have super bright lights. Aren't the stock bright enough?

No such thing as ignorance my friend

Canbus is intermodular communications... so lets say, a headlamp goes out... the bcm will recognise it and send a signal to the dash control unit to let you know you have an issue

Or lets say you have a problem with your speed sensor
The tcm will send the information to the ecu so it might derate your engine then it will send that information to the bcm and the bcm will decode that information, send it out to the dash control module and let you know tlwhats going on

I used to build police cars and the system is so fragile that if you connected the wrong seat belt buckle at the wrong seat, the bcm, apim, and srs would code faults because each buckle had different identifications!

Can bus is not sending just voltages through wires, its sending information as well!

Thank you, was wondering if each item on the bus has its own address. Meaning one wire runs all over the car and each has its own address. But sounds like each item goes back to the computer and it must monitor current draw.
