So I love that we can now adjust climate from the app... but it seems kinda half baked. I don't want it to come on automatically.

I have the vehicle set to "last setting" and have tested turning it off before I exit the vehicle. Sure enough when I start the car via the app or remote it's back on. How do I turn it off via the app?

If I set the vehicle settings to off during remote start... can I turn it on via the app if choose later?

Start the vehicle via the app or your fob and open the app. It's right at the bottom. Should have existed from the beginning... along with window control.

Ford knows better than you do what you want.

If you were allowed to make your own choices, there would be real HVAC controls and you could turn off the giant TV if you wished.

Relying on software would be ok if every possible use case were considered - and tested, but that is just simply not what Ford does. (Hell you can't even start the truck with the wipers up unless you're cool with paint missing off your hood. GENIUS minds put these things together. lmao)

In regards to the wipers... Chipped the paint on my first Maverick... And damn if I didn't forget and do it the first time on this one too. Such a stupid design.

I touched it up with it paint pen before turning in my last one. Need to do the same with this one. Then I'm thinking about putting one of those rubber door strips all along the edge of the hood In case I leave the wipers up again.

Am I the only one that thinks it's silly to turn the heat on while the vehicle is still ice cold?

I'm literally doing the same with the door edge protectors. $40 for the touch-up paint at the dealer.

Absolutely inexcusable for a product to go out in production like that.

My dealership claims they had no idea and say they will advise new purchasers. Hope so!

I don't know if you're the only one.

But a properly designed and functioning water circulation heating system will give priority to the engine and having the cabin heat on from the start means you will get heat out of the heating system as soon as it is available.

Having the heat on before heat is actually available won't make it colder...

Remote start you can. Wipers stay right where they are.

So up because ice is coming, remote start to melt that there ice.

Now - when you come out to drive - and you are told you need to "Start" it again - then you better put those blades down.

I've noticed many vehiclres at store parking lot in snow last year - so many have tucked in wipers now - must be a thing.

Not really, it works for me. To me there are only two reasons to use remote start in the first place. 1) Clear frost from the vehicle. 2) Turn on AC when it's stupid hot out. If you don't want/need either of those, there is no point.

Mine smashed the hood with a remote start. Maybe they "upgraded" the 25's?
