I gently tucked the cord into the Headliner and then down the A pillar and up under the dash using the trim tool from the kit every vehicle owner should have. I didn't need to remove any trim and my cord is out of site where it has stayed for several months now. Maybe I'm just lucky, but i would try it this way before pulling down any trim
The cord is tucked in so shallow that it isn't in front of the car bags. They will deploy right past the cables

I did install a dash cam on my 24 Mav. Relax and take your time. Using a trim tool or two remove the a-pillar. I did the passenger side. You will see other cables running above and behind the airbag. Use some small tywraps, tape or velcro strips what ever you prefer. I ran my cable with theirs. Reassembley is the same. take your time and line things back up. If you broke a clip, replace it then reassemble.

I tell you in the past I would not hesitate to do that. But now I am an old guy and pretty much afraid to tackle even the simplest things. I have the tools. Thanks

For my dashcam I had 2 wires, the power wire from the dash came that went to the cigarette plug for power and once coming from the back inside window (rear camera) to the dash came. The dashcam is connected with a bracket to the rear view mirror. The cords were tucked underneath the headliner going from the rear view mirror assembly to the right towards the passenger side A pillar. then I pushed the wires between the windshield and A Pillar using a trim tool, then when I came down to the edge of the dash I was able to tuck most of the wire in, but one of the wires was still visible, but then hidden with my dash mat. I then came around and ran the cords behind the rubber door gasket/seal to the bottom of the dash and routed the cables under the dash. Sorry I don't have any pictures right now I am at work and not able to get them. The cables have been in place there in my 2024 for over a year now and no problems. I just ran the same wires earlier this month on my dad's 2025 and no issues there either. Hope this helps

Well NJBob, we come from the same state, Though I am not there anymore. Go on and give it a shot. I am 60 and was not hard to figure it out. I closed out my install with a "micro 3" fuse assembly from amazon to tie into the fuse block under the passenger side. This is a link to get you in the right direction, "Precision Upfit Micro3 ATM Add-A-Circuit Fuse Tap Link with 5A Fuse micro 3 ", it allowed me to have a dedicated power supply with ignition control.

Thanks I never knew they made those things. In my youth we would wrap the wire around tge load end of the fuse and push it back in.

LOL, yes indeed. I installed my dash cam with an optional power supply and used two of those fuses. Your installation may be different than mine. Parts are available on line if you can't find them locally. I used a DMM to see what was and wasn't powered with the ignition off and then with it on. I was able to install them and it wasn't to bad of a job. Make sure you have a small bright light to see back in there!
Good luck!

Bob,the install for the hardwire kit is simple and so is removing the ps a pillar trim to run the power wire behind the airbag. I secured my wire for my dash cam to the existing mounting points for the airbag wire harness.

To run the rear cam wire under the headliner I wrapped the wire in 1/2" foam insulation I got off ebay with one side that had 3m tape to keep it from making a new rattle. Pulling the top of the inner door seal made it easier to tuck up in the headliner.
