When running the power, if you don't pull the A pillar trim off at least at the top, you run the risk of the power wires laying over the top of the air bag. That is not a good route for the power wires. You want the wires to be between the metal A pillar and the air bag so it does not interfere with the bag deployment if someone hits your Maverick.

I bought a $10 trim tool kit at the local auto store. So far I have only need one piece from kit to move the head liner and A post trim enough to slip the cable inside. I have not fully removed any trim pieces. Just opened the gap enough to slide the cable inside.

No. It was one of the first fuse slots identified as an accessory based (not powered full time). So I used it.
