Yes!So this just happened to my truck on Tuesday night. I was able to jump-start it to get the truck in the garage and as soon as I turned the car off it was completely dead again, with no power to anything. I had the truck towed to the dealer and we had to jump it to get it on the trailer, and the same thing happened. There was no power to anything as soon as we turned the truck off.
The dealership calls me today and said that they jumped the truck to get it into the shop and it is working perfectly. No issues at all. This sounds a little fishy to me.
Has anyone else had this problem not able to be reproduced at the dealership? I am already in contact with the Ford Motor Company account on here about the concern, but this was a new addition and I wanted to see if this had happened to anyone else.
I hope this doesn't happen to me. Keep us posted, please.Mine is at the dealership too, they are claiming my Kicker HS-10 is creating a parasitic draw contributing to and/or creating the issue. I made them aware of TSB 22-2340 but they seem fixated on the aftermarket item. I explained to them the Kicker has been in the vehicle for 17,000+ miles without issue and that voltage at battery remains >12.6V while the underhood jump locations fluctuate between 0V and 3ishV during the condition.
I have a feeling I will be fixing this myself since Ford is incompetent in making their service staff aware and knowledgeable regarding this. They should have issued an inspection recall at minimum.
Mine was built November, 2021 I had no problems until at 10,500 miles, the truck was dead. First they replaced the Body Conrol module, then they said they need to replace the harness.Assuming there will be a recall? Mine was built in March, haven't had the issue yet after 7,300 miles.
Here is verdict:I hope this doesn't happen to me. Keep us posted, please.
Some of these "mechanics" couldn't use a meter if you held a gun to their head.
It does, and is a b***h to get off. Likely got broken and tossed. Here is verdict:
The dealership called me and told me to pickup my vehicle today.
He said that he had printed TSB-22-2340 and placed it in my vehicle and asked their hybrid expert to evaluate.
The hybrid expert determined that TSB-22-2340 was not applicable to my Maverick and the issue was current draw from aftermarket subwoofer. Subwoofer was disconnected by service technician.
I asked about the voltage differential between the battery terminals and jump locations and he shrugged said his Ford trained hybrid expert "knows these systems".
I will leave the subwoofer disconnected and probably remove it as to eliminate it as low-hanging fruit to blame. I don't look forward to a stall or getting stranded as Ford Roadside assistance was unable to provide service even after 20 hours.
On another note, I looked at the battery upon getting home. I recall the positive terminal having a red insulated cover over it, maybe not?
Yeah, I made use of some excess 8 gauge amp wire for that very purpose. Make sure to include enough length to get out the window and through the front grill.I think I'm going to make up a long jumper cable to reach from the positive terminal to the jump point under the hood just in case mine craps the bed.
Cheers.
That sucks, sorry.Here is verdict:

That sucks. I'm at almost 11k miles so far with no issues other then the occasional deep sleep message. I keep a portable jump pack under the back seat.Mine was built November, 2021 I had no problems until at 10,500 miles, the truck was dead. Two weeks waiting for the Module, but to be fair, it went in the Friday before Christmas so I expected delays for parts. Got it back yesterday. I did not get a loaner, so I had the dealer deliver it to my house. That sucks. I'm at almost 11k miles so far with no issues other then the occasional deep sleep message. How long was your truck at the dealership?
