So two days ago, my check engine light came on while I was driving (‘22 hybrid XL). Got to my destination, turned it off and it went completely dead. No power to anything - no dash lights - nothing. I opened the hood to confirm where the connection was to jump it, as it would be dark by the time I would be leaving. While I had the hood up, it started making the hybrid “clicking” sounds, and power was restored. Check engine light still on. Got in it to go home and it started and drove fine, but check engine light was still on. Next day (Sunday), it started, but check engine light was still on, so I didn’t drive it. Made an online appointment with the dealer for first thing this morning. Got in it to leave this morning, and it started with no check engine light. First issue I’ve had in almost 23,000 miles. I canceled my appointment as I figured they wouldn’t do anything without an error to diagnose. I searched the forums but didn’t see that anyone else had this exact issue. Are there others that have experienced this?

Have you had the battery harness replaced? If bot, that's likely your problem. There was/is an issue with early Hybrid's and the cold soldering joint on the connectors to the 12V side. Mine went last year, no check engine light, but it would act weird when shutting down until it just straight up wouldn't start up without jumping. Fixed with the new cable and haven't had an issue since.

You might invest in a OBD reader to read any code # once the CEL pops up. Keep in the vehicle.
I have one, kept in truck. My kids use it on theirs. And word git out to neighbor, and they ask me to plug it in their vehicles. I tell them to go buy your own, they not expensive. Of course many not know what a OBD is!
