Not for wiring harnesses. I've even read people report they were unable to get warranty coverage on their HV wiring.



"Hybrid unique components" doesn't literally mean all components that aren't shared with the ICE-only version. Other notable exclusions are the high voltage A/C compressor.

BaseCare or higher Ford ESP ("extended warranty") does cover wiring harnesses, though.

The warranty states: "Hybrid unique components" and means exactly what is stated . Is the part unique to a 2022 Maverick Hybrid? The answer is binary.,

"Hybrid unique components" prevails when stated in a warranty.

This is on page 12 of the 2022 Model Year Ford Warranty Guide

"Depending on your vehicle, electrical drivetrain system components covered by this warranty may include, and are not limited to: high-voltage battery, high-voltage battery connector, battery energy control module (BECM), on-board charger, inverter system controller (ISC), DC/DC converter, hybrid continuously variable transmission or electric driveline motor and transmission range sensor."

Will have to ask sources at Ford if dead Mavs are caused or related to the "high-voltage battery connector"

You can believe it covers literally every component the EcoBoost doesn't have if you want. Ford says electrical drivetrain components for a reason.

They fixed the faulty connector in approx. 3 to 4 hours while we waited. While other dealers made excuses, denied there was a harness problem, did not return phone calls, were generally rude and simply did not care, Billy Howell Ford was impressive and got the job done.

Their service department and service director are first class, 5 stars, all the way!

Please see the attached pic showing repair. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to see exactly where this connection is in the engine compartment. I Will try and update later where the exact location is.

This fix makes the most sense since it has not been confirmed if harnesses are still being manufactured the same way with the same problem.
