Tremor with bigger tires?

Hey all! Just got my new Tremor and want to go bigger with the tires. What's the largest that can fit without rubbing/modification? Anyone have photos of their Tremors with larger tires?

235/65R17 is the sweet spot.

Biggest without losing massive amounts of MPG's and putting too much stress on the drivetrain is 245/65R17. With that size, expect to lose 2-3MPG. Any bigger and the drivetrain will feel it and that's not good for a vehicle that uses less than a half quart of fluid in the RDU and barely a quart in the PTU.

Don't overdo it on these wittle Mavewicks. It's not worth it.

I'm not sure. There are lots of suggestions on the forum however I'm thinking of going with just one size taller with 235/70. Don't really need a wider tire on the sand. Just air down to 18 PSI. Your photo looks like you are at D. point or Sore Thumb beach?

When the Falkens wear down I want to look and see if I can go a size or two bigger without increasing weight. The ATW3 is not an extremely light tire. Not sure they make ridge grapplers this small but if they do those would likely be a lighter tire

Not sure yet but I am probably gonna go for either 245/70, 255/65, or 265/65 on my Tremor. The lift is something that likely won't happen before a new set of tires.​

If you don't care about width and just want height and minimize your mpg loss. 235/75r17 is an option. That's a 30.88x9.25. Back in the day you would find that on a CJ5 offroading and going just about anywhere reasonable. You would gain almost a inch of ground clearance and plenty of extra sidewall for airing down. Get something with a lot of side biter tread and you should move pretty good in the sand at 20ish psi without worried about popping off the bead. I used to off-road a good bit in a 78 E150 on 235 and only got stuck once in the sand north of Daytona while parked in pure fluff.​
