Tremor trade in value

I drive a 3 month old 25 Maverick Tremor with less than 4K miles and want to trade up to the Ranger Raptor for several reasons. But the Maverick will lose almost 8-9 k from its purchase price in the trade. 43k after tax to 34k from carvana offer.
Is the Raptor truly that much worth it to justify the loss, if simply bought for the pleasure of driving and realizing that life is short. Important things for me are the ride comfort for daily commute and rear passenger seats. The F150 is just too big. Thanks for the advice.

Posted the same question on the Raptor forum. Wants to trade the Mav on a RR.
Only you can say if losing 8k is worth it to move to a RR. Why would you ask strangers instead of test driving one.

The only person that can answer this question correctly for you is YOU.

The value of anything can only be determined by the person who wants it. Not by others who have or don’t have it. Don’t ask for permission, endorsement or justification from others in life. You will be much happier, my friend. Make the decision and live with your choice because it will not matter in the slightest to the people who advised you.

Every person has their own set of values, the only person who can answer that question is you

The Raptor costs a LOT more, costs more to run AND you'll take a depreciation hit. How fun to drive is it?

I would try to briefly sell it privately. I would then see what the dealer would give me for trade. Depending on the state in which you live, you will pay quite a bit of sales tax if you sell to carvana.

Unlike the Maverick, the Ranger has competition from Chevy, GMC, Toyota, and Nissan. Just trying to save the OP from from not considering all the choices. Life is short.

I'm retired now, I'd been always single, but I'm gonna hold them as long as I can, that's life

Even the Tremor is too tall for me - I picked the lower Lobo for just that reason!

I took a beating when I traded my 2023 Ford Explorer Timberline with just over 20K miles on it for my 2025 Maverick Lariat hybrid AWD....but it was my beating to take....I wanted what I wanted and made my best deal....I don't need "advice" on how to lose $$....Pretty good at it on my own.....
