So everyone knows what the market is for purchasing a Maverick. I was wondering if anyone has any experience trading in a Maverick. I was wondering if the market value is there as well. Obviously not to the degree of retail, but I was curious if Carvana and these other entities are willing to pay people well over MSRP, is there similar trade-in value?

I'm considering dropping to an XL with no options other than trailer hitch to hopefully get a build date and ordering a MY23 the way I actually want it. Then when the 23 comes in, either trade the XL or sell it.

Any thoughts?

If the markets stay as they are now, or get worse, you will have good trade-in value well into next year. I paid $29 for a hybrid lariat and could sell it today to Carvana for $37.9 or to Vroom for $35. Actual offers. The Carvana offer used to be $34.

I did some rough math and decided that the process of flipping a truck is futile. I put up the 8k Carvana profit and subtracted 2400 sales tax of 8% on the MY22, 2530 sales tax on a MY23, 1620 anticipated (5.4%) price increase and 1030 interest on 1.9%/36 months as opposed to 0/36. The total came to 7580 which means my net is 420 dollars and I go with out a truck for 6-9 months. This is based on an original 30k truck price.

I’d say if you trade in before next feburary you will get 34-40k depending on your truck. Afterwards low 30k would be economical guess. How much the next maverick will be will be factor as well
