This a feature, not a bug. It is A turbo motor and is designed to wait until the turbo spools up, so you can ride the torque wave once boost builds. It’s pretty easy to control. If I know I want a downshift, I just go to half throttle and it will for sure downshift. But keeping the revs low and using boost is more efficient than immediately downshifting. My concern is about the shaking and making bad noises. Mine does not do that. It just purrs along under boost, being happy as can be. I also have a 24 ecoboost fx4. As others mentioned, you can use tow haul to get a more aggressive shift pattern.24 XLT FX4 2.0 eco boost. Anyone else experiencing that as the trans shifts from 1 to 4 and if you keep speed steady the trans seems to ‘lug’ until you take foot off the gas or push on it to speed up. It doesn’t seem to want to downshift just ‘lugs’. Truck feels awful during this, shakes lightly and sounds awful. It’s brand new dammit! Another reason why I like manual trans.
