Transferring an order

I ordered in Oct.a hybrid Lariat and knew more about it than they did. The dealership was bought in August 2021 by the person who owns San Bernardino Chevy. Salesman has been real nice but, refuses to sign anything about price and has always said it would be MSRP. Was in last week and he said that they will add a protection package but wouldn't tell me how much. A reviewer online said they ordered from them an XL and they added 5,000. Can't confirm that, but, now I am concerned. I would like to change dealers before it is scheduled.

No can do, buckaroo. The vehicle is a part of that dealer's inventory until they toss you the keys. If you should decline acceptance after arrival, it remains that dealer's. Even if, for example, you move across the country in the meantime you might well be able to arrange a courtesy delivery to a new nearby dealer but the paperwork, financing, etc. does not budge from the original dealership.
