So I have a problem and some questions for y'all:

I'm excited to say that my truck has arrived at my dealership. I am sad to say that my dealer has started to ghost me. I have reached out to multiple people trying to see if I can pick my truck up tomorrow because I have to fly in to pick it up. I have tried to talk to 4 different people, left voicemails and no one has reached back out to me. My current problem is not knowing if they sold my truck underneath me or what is going on.

My questions is as follows: What should I look for when picking up my truck? If there are dents scratches etc should I expect my dealer to fix them or give me money off? Also if my dealer has been using my truck for test drives for other customers, is that another area where I can ask for money off? I am under the impression that no one should be driving my car around for test drives because Its in my name and I put a deposit down for it.

Would love any advice from your experiences.

Stop thinking the worst, it's your truck and no dealer will use it as a demo. I don't think you will find any damage on it, if so they should have it taken care of by the time you pick it up. Have them give you a date, and time when for transaction to take place. (you should have a picture of the window sticker with VIN number, showing it's your special order truck)

They haven't been able to call me back. The truck is sitting on the lot at the dealership. They got it on the 5th of April and I need to pick it up on Saturday the 8th.

Continue to think the worst, as it's the dealership's truck to sell to whoever they want (the truck was sold by Ford to the dealership, not you as the customer), and multiple dealers have been found to be using Mavericks promised to other buyers as a demo before selling to the buyer (buyers have found trash, food wrappers, etc...in their "new" truck). You might find some damage on it when you go to pick it up, since multiple members on here have had it happen to them. The dealership should have it taken care of by the time you pick it up if it was damaged, but once again, members have reported damage that was not taken care of until brought up by the customer. Have them give you a date, and time when for transaction to take place. (you should have a picture of the window sticker with VIN number, showing it's your special order truck)
Fixed it for you....

I am not usually a pessimist, but when it comes to non-responsive dealers and Mavericks.....I am.

I agree with you, and up to this point my dealer has been great. I understand they could be backed up or something but some clarity is the minimum they could do.

How do you know the truck is at the dealership, has been through PDI, and will be ready to pick up? Is there an outstanding recall/repair preventing pickup? I would keep calling the Dealer until I get some answer

Which dealer?

Good luck

.

I got a hold of someone yesterday and he confirmed that it was on the lot, he was supposed to call me back to see how long it would take for PDI. I told him that I could be there Saturday, and he was going to look into it.

Take a good look at the vehicle. Look at the door and hood lines make sure they are even. Check trim make sure they are even. And the paint, everywhere, under the hood, door jams etc.
If there is a flaw the dealer will fix it and bill back to ford. I doubt you will get any money off.
They should look it over BUT they know you will be to eager to drive off the lot. Then it's your problem.
A few years back , at one of the car shows they had at work, this guy picked out every flaw on a new corvette, it was a learning experience how some things get missed. In production.
