After placing my Maverick order with my local Ford dealer and getting my Confirmation Email, I discovered on this forum that the Splash Guards were a Late Availability item and would slow my build. I emailed my sales guy and asked him to have the Splash Guards deleted from my order. He responded with the following message:

“My GSM sent an email to the production team at the plant. Im sure they will be deleted before production starts.”

It’s hard to imagine this would be the procedure… an email to the production team at the plant?

I would have thought the dealership would have access to an online database where changes could be made to the order anytime before it was scheduled for production.

Does this sound right to you?

Each time I made changes I received an UPDATED Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement (DORA). They have to Update your order in the system at Ford BEFORE if gets selected. The longer he drags his heels, the longer you'll wait for it to be Scheduled. I would call them or go to the dealership if it's local.
