I've been so impatient checking the tracker once or several times per day since I got an order confirmation. My truck shipped 4/22 and for about a week the tracker would update every other day until 5/3 and since then it has not changed.

I know the tracker isn't the most reliable. Does this mean it is just on a rail car and hasn't been scanned anywhere or if it's just waiting in a rail yard, I'm sure no one knows. Anyone know how often it updated for their mavericks?

My eta date changed this morning from 5/15-5/21 to 5/23-5/29 but tracker still says last updated 5/3. Dealership was not able to find the railcar number to track that way

I was hoping to have it before our long weekend camping trip this weekend!

Once the tracker hits "shipped" your dealer will be the best source of current information. But, as with most industries, "shipped" may also mean "set aside to be shipped" even if it hasn't left the shipping yard yet.

I think mine only updated once after shipping - to say it was at the dealer.

I didn't mess around trying to track the railcar because I found my VIN in the United Road system (which is who my dealer uses to deliver vehicles from the railyard to the dealership).

You can try putting your VIN in this one:

https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipt

If you get a hit, that means United Road will (eventually) be the ones delivering your truck from the railyard to the dealer. I.e. the hit on that page means they have an 'order' in their system to deliver that VIN from a railyard to a dealer.

If it does show, you can create an account in their OVISS system. From that page above, click on the 'OVISS Login' and you should be able to create an account, use your email. DON'T try to use the 'Customer Portal' link - you're not a direct customer of this company and if you try to create a customer login they'll send you a nastygram. Don't ask me how I know. :) )

This site is pretty janky (the captcha stuff is wonky); search for 'OVISS' on the forum if you have troubles and you will find lots of posts with tips or tricks.

Once you get a login you'll be able to see all the vehicles going to your dealer. Note that you can't track them before they get to the railyard - this system just tracks them between the railyard and the dealer. I don't think it will show up in the 'OVISS' view until it's been received at the railyard and is waiting to go to the dealer.

My truck showed up in OVISS on a Friday and it took until the next Wednesday for it to be shipped to the dealer, and the dealer needs a day or two to do their thing - I took delivery on Friday.

There are a bunch of other tracking links on this page: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...r-tracking-info-resources-for-maverick.24713/

Hey, thanks for the link to this tracker. I put my VIN in there and it shows up. This forum has been a huge help with all things Maverick.

You can use the ford.com chat to get the train car number if you ask them. Then call the CSX number to track it. Their voice system sucks, so I just enter in the train car info using the number keys.

My Truck shows shipped on the tracker on 4/25 and has been sitting offloaded at train yard ramp near Houston (about 100 miles from me) since 5/10...

I run my VIN on the United truck search and get nothing, so maybe my dealer doesn't use them. When I chat with Ford, they say the last thing they see is that it is unloaded at the ramp.

…edit
I just drove by my dealer and there was a car carrier there with 2 F-150s left on it.
The trucking company name on the door was “SMT”..
I wonder if they have a tracking system

Don't worry about it too much. This is common. The tracker was still showing that my truck was in transit after I had already picked it up at the dealership and was driving it for a few days.

The tracker is an estimate done by Ford.
It generally sets the ETA for shipping at 4 to 6 weeks from when it exits production.
This allows for time to get to the ramp, on the correct train, the train to get to the correct destination ramp, and the last-mile delivery time.
But it also is dependent on updates making it into the system.

For example, my ETA changed from "5/20 to 6/2" to "5/13 to 5/20" on Monday night.
That change makes sense since mine arrived at the destination ramp Monday morning.

However, some things don't update immediately, too. It can sometimes take the tracker a week or more to show accurate data.

As for the dealer not being able to find the railcar number:
They need to look in VINView, and expand the details (tiles to the right of the map), and look for something like 123456TTGX789789 in the description under one of them. It doesn't clearly state it's a railcar IIRC. But take the letters and numbers to the right of the letters, and thats the car number (I think the prefix digits are a load or date code, I didn't catch them when I got mine so I am not entirely sure).
