Tougue weight Ecoboost with 4k tow

Please ease my mind. My boat/trailer is about 1200 lbs . Will the tougue weight be manageable for my new Ecoboost with 4k tow???

Yes a piece of cake since your tongue weight should be about 120 lbs or 10% of boat/trailer weight. I am looking at towing close to the max so my tongue weight will be closer to 350 lbs.

And even at the higher 15% your still at only 180lbs which is well below the 400lb tongue weight limit.
You could tow that boat with the hybrid just fine.

Only you can know your tongue weight. It is likely in the range of 10%-15% as mentioned. The best way to tell is load up your trailer as you normally would and put the tongue on a scale at the approximate height of your hitch. I have seen lots of people with boat trailers that are not configured correctly or they do things like add heavy storage compartments toward the front of the trailer. But with 4K tow package you can handle 400lbs of tongue weight, so it shouldn't be an issue with such a light load.

Have you weighed the trailer at the tongue? The truck can drag 1200 pounds no sweat but the tongue weight should be no more than 10-15% of the total trailer weight loaded. Understanding that a boat trailer is purposly heavy at the tongue, it should still be around 200 lbs at the tongue or you are going to have issues with hauling it. My trailer has a 3850 GVWR but the tongue weight is under 450 lbs, but it also isn't a boat which, as before referenced, is usually set differently. You may want to find a way to balance the load to reduce tongue weight. Say put all your coolers and ski's behind the trailer axle at the stern most of the boat. There are ways of weighing the tongue with a bathroom scale but you should have an rv dealer locally that can help you get a good weight of the tongue.
