I bought an aluminum trifold off of Amazon soon after buying the truck for under $400 and it took about 20 minutes to install with prep. I can’t (won’t) use a soft cover, because I keep tools and supplies in the bed for work.

I had good luck with the Autosaver88 brand roll up cover. It took around 20 minutes to install, but I did have to re-install the clamps with some scrap rubber because I didn't want them digging straight into the bed in a hidden location where corrosion could start, and use thread locker on the hand knobs.

How do you like it so far? Water proof? Would you recommend, an if so, can you provide some details? Sorry for all the questions - looking for a trifold and I like the Amazon prices rather than 1.2K for a cover. Thanks!

Most of the $300-$600 hard covers on Amazon are in truth tri-panel that only FOLD twice because they only have two hinges. If you want a true trifold. It will have three hinges and will fold upwards against the rear window they'll be closer to $1,000.
Good luck with your choice.
Or a retractable cover. On sale

Gator roll up was the tonneau I went with and I am impressed so far. Had rain overnight with it installed for the first time and drove over 60 miles in the rain with it and there was only a tiny amount of water inside the bed. Thoroughly impressed. I did make sure to take my time installing it though as I have seen many complaints about water leakage with the tonneaus. This was my first ever install and I'm happy with myself and the tonneau as of now.

I went with one that was from Amazon. It came with weather stripping for the front of the bed. It attaches with 4 clamps. The brand was titanicmotor (china) whalemotor looks the same. It does have 2 under cover led lights. As to being water proof. I live in Florida and it didn’t leak in Helene or Milton. I have had some small leaks going through a car wash, but everything I keep in the bed is in waterproof containers. It’s more for security. I had a Silverado with an undercover solid tonneau cover that locked. I like this one better.

We must have got different tonneau covers off Amazon. Roll up fits perfect, well made, no leaks and inexpensive. Incidentally, it actually took about 15 minutes to install.
Do you have a link or part number?

Thank you! Found it. Appreciate your insights!

I did the autosaver88 roll up.

Amazon.com: AUTOSAVER88 Soft Roll Up Truck Bed Tonneau Cover Compatible with 2022 2023 2024 2025 Ford Maverick 4.5 Feet Bed : Automotive

$130. Works well, a bit of fluttering at high speeds from the wind and vacuum over the bed, but the sides stay down. Have had some rain and no noticeable leaking.

I love the look and security of the tri-folds, but with a bed this short I didn't want to block any of it.

One thing I really like is this one does fit tight up against the back window when rolled up, and my last tonneau cover on an F150 I had, the clips at the top would always knock against the rear window when I was driving on the highway (I got some velcro with sticky tape to velcro them down finally). This one doesn't do that.

Maybe 15 minutes to install, just had to check the directions for how to connect to the front end rail, and get good tools.

That's what I have...I just can't get those rear latches to work...they are too far back.

Suggestions?

The arms that run the length of the bed and go into the channel piece you mount along the top of the bed at the back window are adjustable before you tighten the set screws.

I had the same thing kinda at first where one end would kick up a tad at the back corner when I pulled it down and locked it in. I adjusted it a bit in and out and it finally just sat right.

Well last night I decided to stagger out to the shop and TRY to install the tonneau cover I bought on Amazon...

Seemed to be of good quality, poor directions written by someone who has a difficult time with the Engrish language.

But better than my Cantonese I must admit.

After two fricken hours of working to get the latches to secure the rear of the cover I finally determined that the side rails need to be trimmed...maybe 2".

So much for the Amazon comments that it takes 15 minutes to install.

Might be a film at 11... still working my way back home tonite.
TruXedo by TruXport is what I have, best on the market and a USA company,

I purchased and easily installed a Truxedo proX15 purchased soft tonneau cover thru Realtruck. Perfect fit. Love it. Good quality and great price during Black Friday sale last year. FYI, I called or emailed them and mentioned this forum when getting the great Black Friday price.
