Hi,

I received my ford maverick lariat lux package this past week. This is my first new ford vehicle. I have no prior ford temp control experience. I drove it on an 8 hour trip yesterday. The outside driving temperate was about 30 degrees F. I had to set the interior temp control on 63 degrees in order to feel remotely comfortable. I was wearing a tshirt and light jacket. As soon as I would adjust the temp up to say 67. I would be getting "Warm/ hot" air blowing. On my prior car a 2015 VW jetta when adjusting the temp control it would never be that drastic of a change. I called two local ford dealers and described the situation and did not really take it serious. Is this how Ford temp control should operate or does this sound like an issue?

It doesn't make sense to me that driving around in 30 degree temps outside I would need to have my cars temp set to below 65 degrees to feel remotely comfortable.
I picked up my Maverick XLT Tremor on 08/10/2023. Had it in on 11/16/2023 for dealer to inspect freezing cold AC when it was set to between 75 and 78 degrees. Dealer said they couldn't repeat the issue...Fast forward to last night (12/19/2023), my passenger and I found ourselves roasting in heat after around 30 minutes of driving only to find that the temp was set to 66 degrees. I'm intermittently getting extreme temps opposite of dialed-in settings.

I have mine set anywhere between 68 and 72 in winter in Michigan. Push the "Auto" button with 2 LED's lit. Works perfectly for me. Fan does not kick on until the engine heats up a bit. Interior warms up fast and doesn't seem to have any trouble keeping the set temperature.

Thanks for sharing, MavChris. Do you notice any difference with the "AC" button engaged? Particularly whether the set temp held with and/or without it...I go back and forth but the experience is the same on my end.

I have this issue with a '22 Maverick. Only in the winter. in the summer I can set the temp to whatever I wish and it holds. However, once the outdoor temp goes under about 35 degrees the heater goes into overdrive. For me to be comfortable I must set the heater to 63. I use auto / 2 LEDs pretty much all the time.
