Awesome I appreciate you looking into this for me. It’s going to be so nice getting this fixed and it’s all because of you!
I would love for you to report back about exactly what your dealer says (and the look on their face) when you tell them there were codes that were thrown and easily accessible in the system if they just looked.....you know......like they are supposed to do whenever anyone ever reports any problem with anything. The whole "can't replicate the issue" is the dumbest excuse when all they needed to do was check for codes being thrown in the past....... It is literally step 1 in diagnosing and troubleshooting.

From my experience, if they didn't care before, they won't care after. Definitely be tactful in mentioning it but I suspect it will get dismissed as someone being "another forum expert" and the reason why I hate going to those places to begin with. It's sad when you have to tell a services department where to look for basic stuff. It's helpful when they dont know something that could be model specific without knowing which way to look, but this isn't one of those things. No real excuses here.

Agree. It is often hard to not offend their delicate ego. Even when common sense suggestions/solutions are the answer...

I've had to play half dumb sometimes and try to vaguely lead a service department down the right path without ACTUALLY telling them the obvious solution. Nudge them towards what I know is the answer, but let them arrive there "on their own".

Thank you very much everyone for your help, I promise I will give an update. I need to write up an email to send to my dealer first and I’ll let you all know what they say.

I do have another question. Is this an issue you think Ford would cover or will I have to pay for it? If so how much do you think it will cost?

It is going to be under warranty if you are still under 36k miles.

Hey everyone, going to give a short update here.

TLDR - still not fixed, but the dealership finally has my vehicle.

shortly after I posted this I sent an email to the general email for the dealership listed on their website detailing the issues and giving them the possible fixes (thank you to everyone that gave me advice here btw)

I waited a couple weeks for a reply and never got one, so I called them, played phone tag for a week before I finally got an employee email I could email. So I wrote them an email detailing everything. We got an appointment set up so I dropped it off over the weekend.

they call me today and first thing they say is we don’t have the part for your recall. I explained to them this isn’t about a recall, I told them about the email and I briefly explained what is going on. They said they were going to try to recreate the issue by driving my truck home tonight. I told them that’s fine but y’all already tried that but go ahead if you want. but to please check the ford pass and please check the error codes. I was working so I was unable to give him the exact codes I received on here. But I made it a point to ask him to please check the email I sent them and to please check the ford pass for the error codes.

I’m not picking up my truck until they fix something and they can give me a good reason for fixing it. (Example the P097B code is messed up so we replaced the wiring) so they won’t be able to give me a “we can’t recreate the issue so we can’t fix it.” Hopefully anyway

I’ll keep you guys updated. I appreciate all your help
Ok that was a medium size update
