Haven't seen this reported elsewhere.

I was out and about in the Maverick today, and was listening to music via Android Auto as usual. Went to adjust the temperature and was not getting any display change on the AA screen, even though turning the temp dial all the way to the right gave me warm air, and turning it all the left delivered cold air. No temp number display whatsoever. Thinking AA might be the issue, I exited the app and tried again on the Ford music screen. This time when turning the dial all the way to the right the display shows "High", and turning it all the way to the left shows "Low". Still no temperature display (numbers) are shown in between, so it's guesswork (kinda like my old 2002 Ranger). Anyone else experienced this?

The nearest dealers are about an hour and a half drive from mebeither direction, and I am guessing they'd want to keep the truck until they resolve the issue. Not sure I want to go through with that headache, so I may wait until Ford comes up with a solution for the freezing rear view camera before pursuing this temp gauge problem.

Any ideas how I might reset the temp gauge?

Does the temp show on the 8" screen while turning/adjusting the temperature? - Most of us don't have digits on our knobs, however they still show up there. It would help rule out a software vs hardware issue. If that also doesn't change, then there may be something other than an issue with the unit itself.

What you might try and performing a system/data-bus reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, and see if those temp digits return. - I'm thinking week 12v and it played with the climate control system.

I also don't have the fancy knobs on my XLT, I was referring to the 8" screen. I'll try rebooting it and see what happens...

Thanks for the suggestions. I just went out to reboot the infotainment module, but didn't have to. I started the truck up and there the temp numbers were again, working just as they should!

It has been cold and the truck was parked a few days so the weak battery idea might be a possibility. I'll keep an eye on it.

I'd be more than happy if the temp number didn't show. If I want hotter, I turn the knob up and if I want cooler, I turn the knob down. If I'm using maps to navigate, I don't like the interruption.
