...Our dealer was empathic to the pre-delivery dept to deflate to normal pressures. He knew that vehicles would ride rough on a demo ride.
yeah that's probably critical to get people to pick one vehicle over another.

I'm not surprised that with how fast Mavericks arrive at the dealer and are driven off the lot, not much care to make things as "perfect".

It hasn't been the smoothest ride, but I did not know what to expect from an inexpensive truck. I'll get some air taken out. Thank you.
What others have said EXCEPT don't waste time going back to the dealer. My tires showed 45psi after I picked my Mav up at the dealer.

Invest in a digital readout tire gauge and in the morning or after your Mav has been sitting awhile, check the TP. Sticker says 35 psi all around. My hybrid is set at 36 psi just to be onery :)

On delivery my tires were at 40 psi. I aired them down but I don't trust Fordpass. It always reads 3-4 psi over. I second using a real tire gauge to check psi

For optimal performance you want to be at the recommended 35psi. I'd check with a manual tire gauge just to be sure the sensors aren't playing tricks on you(which they probably aren't but better safe than sorry) :)
"Optimal" varies day to day, user to user, condition by condition.

35 psi is "optimal" performance for a minority of the time.

35 psi is "average" performance for the majority of the time, which is what most people want. Most people prefer to set it and forget about it vs. adjust for changing conditions. Which is A-ok. You can do that.

I took delivery of my XL a couple weeks ago. I recently noticed that the tires were filled to 50 psi by the dealer but the recommended is 35. Do I need to take air out?

Yes. Use the numbers on the door jamb label. Every new vehicle I've bought in the last few years has had the tires pumped up too hard.

Over the many years that I was in the car business this was a common issue. Ford overinflates the tires for shipment and the dealer is supposed to set to the proper inflation. Predelivery techs forget to do this and you end up with your issue. Pet peeve of the dealer I worked for and for me at our store when I was a dealer,
