Time from order to confirmation email?

This is a common thread. But mine was placed last night by a reputable dealership and I have no confirmation email. I was assured this morning if they provided me an order number, then the system took it because they don't provide those to customers until after the computer returns a positive result. I think it depends on a number of factors (pure speculation based on my experience as an IT project manager at a database warehouse):

1. Have you ordered before? COVP is likely a lot faster for those who have done the process before.
2. How many orders were placed at the same time? Ford likely processes one-off orders faster than the 112 my dealer put in last night.
3. Is your address a perfect match to USPS? Sometimes the Ford website tells me my Zip code is bad despite the fact I could hit their dealership with a rock from my backyard. But I live in a new-ish neighborhood and still get address confirmation issues.
4. Ford IT competence. We don't know how Ford designed their system. It could be our confirmation emails are sitting in their outbox ready to go. Sometimes your email provider will autoblock mass emails from a single domain if it trips the spam filters and Ford has been sending a lot.

I don't know how many of those are pseudo-fleet orders. Basically your local lawncare company who isn't big enough to order an actual fleet order but needs multiple XL trucks. I've seen at least one business-wrapped Maverick in my town. In theory, the dealer would put those at 19 while the rest of us are at 10. Mine was listed at 10, but Lariat = $$$. Margins on XL may be lower.

For folks that have placed a 2023 order, how long did it take to receive your confirmation email from Ford?
My dealer said he successfully placed my 2023 order with ford yesterday morning and more then 24 hours later still no ford confirmation email...... Just nervous with the news that order banks will shut down in a few days and really looking forward to getting a Maverick!

I had mine within 15 minutes yesterday

I checked my inbox 45 minutes after leaving the dealership and got the confirmation from FoMoCo. I was the fifth customer yesterday, my local dealer also wasn’t able to input orders on the first night.

Well ford customer service chat (after a battle to get in then waiting 40 minutes. Must be crazy demand) confirmed it may take a few days for the order to hit their system, and dealer assured us it's been successfully submitted on their end. So guess maybe it's luck of the draw who got confirmation in minutes and who like me is waiting till the system can catch up with all the order traffic.... Fingers crossed at least!

i took 4 hrs for me to ge tconfirmation e.mail.

Called Dealer at 2:05 PM to ask them to change color on my XL order that was having issues (Atlas Blue was causing an error) so they changed it to Carbonized Grey Metallic so it could go through (thanks forum) and got the email 5 min after I hung up. I will fix the color later or just accept the color as it looks pretty nice

For others in the same boat, it took approximately 30 hours but we just got our confirmation email from Ford!

I ordered my Maverick this morning at 10am after they put in the order it was only about 10 minutes and i got my email confirmation from Ford

Got an e-mail confirmation quickly after my order then an e-mail from ordw2prd@ford with a summary of my order the next day.

If your order was changed from say an XLT to a Lariat, did anyone receive a new confirmation email?

Trying to make sure the dealer actually updated my order before banks close

I think the annoying part is I used my most active private email address and it has been unusually quiet. So, I don't even get the benefit of thinking it might be it. Based on the 30 hour from above, that would be 3:00 in the morning. Guess I'll see in the morning.
