THIS TRIP INFO - Not Updating

Has anyone had this happen or seen this before? Why is my "this trip information" not updating? It logged the time but no mileage or MPG.
MY25 XL AWD Hybrid. Hopefully just a glitch that will resolve itself on the next trip.

Yes, I have that happen from time to time. It logs the miles and information correctly in trip 1 and trip 2, just not this trip information. Just seems to be a software bug/feature.

The 1st time it happened i tried restarting at a red light, but it didnt help. it happened 1 or 2 times after that, so i just let it go.

edit- the summary at the end (when you shut off your car) will still show as normal. so it does still keep track

My 2025 Maverick Hybrid Lariat does this from time to time. Only work around I know is power the Maverick and after about 10-15 when all the relays stop clicking restart the Maverick. This has always worked for me. Dealership always states they can't reproduce the issue...!

The dealer unable to reproduce that or similar issues is more common than not.
Random glitch behavior by its nature is elusive.

Even if a tech saw it happen, it's doubtful they have anyone on staff who can debug software.
There is likely nothing to debug.
A software engineer would be hard pressed to find the CAUSE of that problem, even if they were able to discover the symptom that was created.

A system reboot on the other hand, typically restores the system, and corrects the glitch.

How many times has your computer or a phone glitched?
Taking the device to a store for repair for that would be the same result.
Restart and it works. No trouble found.

A solid software & hardware design would have watchdog timer in the design. If the watchdog time is not serviced (touched) in [N] number of ms or seconds by the software the subsystem is reset by a hardware watchdog timer.

Introduction of code to watch code adds complexity and is normally isolated to critical functions.
I doubt the "This Trip" meter would be deemed worthwhile for that.
Apparently, it wasn't.
This forum has far worse examples of glitch behavior.

I had the same thing happen once to me in my 2025 xl hybrid. Next trip and ever since it works as advertised!
