No body-color lower plastics equals a fail in my book. Looks like more "ST Line" BS than a true ST. We'll see what happens; I might just have to build my own when the time comes.
These are test mules imagine the final product would be

If it's got suspension, sway bars, AWD tweaks and better seats I'm in. Would be nice to have a warranty

I don't understand why everyone is disappointed when a sleeper maverick looks like a sleeper maverick. It wasn't like they were going to invest in new tooling for massive fender flares or anything crazy looking like that. For all we know, this thing could be packing a 2.3 or a high output 2.0. maybe if Ford engineers are a little nutty, it could even be packing the 2.7. that's what I would use if packaging permitted.

Could you imagine a maverick with 350-400 hp? Things going to be doing 0-60 in like the 4s if that's the case šŸ˜‚.

As long as we can get some factory spec lowering struts and quality ride that’s all I need

What about these photos say it's a 2024 and not just a 2023 that's lowered?

that's probably exactly what they are, 2023s. typically test mules are kitted up existing models trying out possible parts for evaluation. while it's possible that they are actual 2024 spec bodies I would doubt it due to the hoops they got to jump through to build them out of sequence which they call cut ins. all 2024 spec parts, if there is the smallest difference have to be hand delivered by an entourage of engineers and stock people generally getting in everyone's way. for every cut in they probably lose two regular builds. at least that's in my over 30yrs experience.

Could be ST mules dressed as existing models...
Hide the performance stuff in plain sight...
Ford will continue to confuse us...
This. Too easy to disguise as a regular Mav and be able to test ST components. Why would they not do this instead of putting zebra print all over the body?

I used to ā€œchargeā€ā€¦.3-5 units for every launch/prototype unit that went down my lines….I addition, someone mentioned it didn’t have body color moldings…..they probably didn’t have a painted molding from the supplier….it’s a hassle for them too to do small batch builds
