Leave it to MTC to promote bullshit like this for clicks. Mods could at least correct the title since it appears OP is somewhat clueless about numbers.
There ya go. Hope you like!

At this point I’m a fake and my word is shit so… does it really matter?
There was more and yes it was OSB. I was saying plywood in “general” even though I know it’s not plywood. But why explain myself… rather be roasted for being fake and seeking clicks.
Well thats the internet for ya, lol. As someone who has been in on it since the 90s, its pretty easy to spot the BS and the "trolls". I call all plywood, plywood too. Even though Im married to a professional builder who is happy to tell whats what too. But hey dont sweat it and enjoy the fact you gave people something to do in a place that doesnt really matter physically all that much.

OP, your post point is not lost (at least, on me...) but details DO matter. As an ex-Marine, I'm sure you know that.

But no worries, I found the anomalies mostly funny. 🤠

Yeah they do. Just didn’t expect such a tough crowd. lol but I’m sure they hate life so they take it out on “ignorant “ people in their eyes.
Oh btw, you’re not an “ex-marine” you’re always a Marine.

I have been a member of many forums over the years, Jeep, Maverick(car), Vans, Tractor, Eagle, Bronco, all kinds. I will say this one is by far the most touchy, but its also one of the most active. Alot of forums there is hardly any moderators or few and far between. Could just be the times we are in where everyone is incredibly smart and dumb as hell at the same time. These hobby or automotive or whatnot forums are the place to be as far as social media is concerned, largely because its like the public radio of the internet, not much ads, not much big money involved, just enthusiasts for the most part and a few small vendors.

The rest of social media is just the worst thing to happen to the human race. Its why my facebook profile (which I did not setup, but was forced to claim) has just a picture of my backside on it.

Anyway glad you are putting your maverick to work, even if its hauling one single 2 ft dowel rod, its a truck!

I completely agree with you, a very capable truck.
TinaNSeed_20230921.jpg

Two weeks ago, I brought home 20 bags of seed at 56 lbs. per bag. Total payload 1,120 lbs.
Careful… people may think you have less bags and calculated your weight wrong. lol

you are absolutely correct. When I EASd from the Marines, I received a pretty gnarly message on FB calling me a baby killer and all sorts of threats. So that quickly ended my social media venture. Yes, this Forum is very very active and quick to pull the trigger to prove that “you’re and idiot” or simply “I’m better than you…”. But, I just have fun with it. My point for this post was just to express that I do not regret my purchase and that it’s incredible how far this little trucks have come.

The fact that the maverick has just proved the haters wrong on so many fronts warms my heart. Everyone said this thing would be unsafe, unreliable, not capable enough, and they couldn't have been more wrong.

Even the first model year trucks have been incredibly reliable for the most part, it's gotten some of the best safety ratings out of any truck on sale, and it's payload punches way above its class.

Oh, and remember when everyone said the resale value would tank when these things were 6 months or a year old? Yeah, basically everyone who's sold theirs made a profit. It actually has the best resale value of literally any newer vehicle on sale in N. America relative to the price of the vehicle, with used versions selling for 12% more than new ones on average.

First, thank you for your service as a life long Marine. God bless.

Second, I served four years in the early 1970s as finance Sgt in the USAF, where we paid 80,000 military and civilian personnel each month. From slick sleeve to four stars, no one was shy about pointing out a discrepancy in their pay. I am pretty sure my calculations are correct.

Third, I am an idiot because I put premium gas in my EcoBoost. This offends an amazing number of club members and amuses me immensely.

Fourth, thank you so much for starting this thread, because of the response it provoked about Ford recommending a payload of 18 sheets of 3/4" plywood, which is valuable information that I did not know. That gave me confidence that my load of seed was within specs. I was nervous about weight behind the rear axle but the recommended distribution of that amount of plywood is reassuring. This is why I spend time at the MTC.

It is great to see people like you actual using their truck for truck stuff. The payload of the unibody Maverick is far better than the old Maverick/Mazda it replaced. Keep up the good work!
