I just picked up my 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD and I found the ride home decent but stiffer than I expected on more borked concrete vs asphalt. Not uncomfortable but stiffly controlled.

Regarding the seat, I do find it a bit short. Especially at the forward corners. Could use a bit more support there but I am coming from BMW M-Sport seats which are Recaros.

Just need to get used to it and I think it will be fine. Plus it only has 70 miles on it now.

Mine has 65 series tires... if I switch tires I'm going with 78 series... much better ride.
85 series tires are 32”+ diameter and won’t fit on a Maverick. You should stick with your original plan of using 78 series tires.

Well I never said I would INSTALL
78 or 85 series tires on my Maverick.

I DO have six 235/85 16 tires waiting in the wings to install on my F350 dually.

As I type this I'm sitting on a 10 year old National brand air ride seat in a 885,000 mile Volvo truck.

The seat supplier that builds the Maverick seats should try this seat on for size....

Hehe, might be a little hard to squeeze that into the Mav.

Not to mention adding an air compressor!

0K.... So my Maverick has the FX4 suspension package.

The ride, especially in this cold arctic blast , is way too harsh IMHO. And the seat cushions are hard.

My F350 crew cab dually rides better than the Maverick.

I'm a crabby old bastard but I have driven millions of miles in beat up, worn out OTR trucks that have a better ride.

So I'm going to start looking for replacement shocks and springs for the truck. The high pressure rear gas shocks have got to go. Then I will assess the ride and see if a spring change is needed.

I have a source in the dirt track racing world that may be able to make a cudtom rate spring if needed.

This isn't going to happen overnight. I don't have heat in my shop this winter and I just pulled a hamstring muscle last week so my mobility is a bit restricted.

Then theres my 60 hour per week part time driving job...

Stay tuned for more complaining
Maybe your ass is too hard.

I find the ride quality totally fine on the highway, but pretty brittle at low speeds in town. Especially expansion joints and the like, the small sharp impacts. I probably notice this more than I normally would because the dash rattles a lot when I hit shallow potholes or expansion joints between concrete slabs. A little bit more of a progressive spring rate would be nice.

Yeah, I understand. When the time comes I'm going to investigate tires that ride better if they don't impact fuel efficiency.

Do you think Lobo suspension take offs would help with the ride? Some softer springs would help since I usually have an empty bed.
