Pelosi for tariffs and Obama for cutting waste fraud and abuse. Watch and read. Trumpā€˜s on the record speaking about this for 40 years. These individuals seem to fluctuate for political gain and power.

The vast majority of the Economists have written article after article that the following is TRUE!

"DOGE is doing essentially nothing to solve the deficit crisis" ....but is actually increasing it.

Near total agreement that DOGE has already increased the national deficit. Due to 150,00++ people being laid off, early retirement, fired, and unemployed. Greatly reducing the Taxable Income of workers. Those retiring or fired will probably not be eligible for unemployment since they elected to retire.
I agree. The status quo was leaving us with a huge deficit. And we don’t want to increase it by laying people off so I think we should hire 150,000 more government workers to get us out of this mess.

I do admit at first I hated politics of these threads. But, since I'm starting to not give a s*** about most things I've actually enjoyed reading them. Very interesting the back and forth. I do admit I agree with one side more than the other, but I'm not going to tell you which way I lean.
So has the mod(s) started taking a more lenient approach to people expressing political views? At least in this thread it sure seems like it. I’m going to try really hard not to cross the line regardless because I get enough politics in other places as I go about my day.

Laying off a bunch of IRS workers who help bring in REVENUE for the government is the exact opposite way of reducing the deficit. All they do is help enforce existing tax code and for every dollar spent, the government nets like 4x or something (I forget the stat off my head).

Instead we want to DOGE them b/c "own the libs" is more important. So effing stupid.
