In the past I have put a good quality reflective tape inside my doors, like nunacello shows. They light up like flares. I was going to do that again until I saw these.

They don’t seem very reflective and I can’t see them light up or anything. Each door has one.

Where would you suggest the best places be? I have white yellow and red
Why? Do you really think people cannot see a vehicle and will just run right in to it? Or do you just like to stand out? Just trying to figure out WHY?

If you have to stop and pull over at night the reflection could warn drivers coming up on you.

Believe me, the white tape is eye searing, very noticeable. I used this tape on my helmet and backpack when I used to ride my bike to work in the winter. My coworkers said I was lit up like a flare when they saw me from way back in their cars.

It’s just a simple and inexpensive way to add some safety.
Nobody sees it unless the door is open and even then, who looks at the inside of a door?

And yes, some people can’t see a vehicle at night and will run right into them, or, at least take a door off.

There is such a thing as black automotive, reflective tape. Amazon sells it, I think I've seen it in automotive stores, too. If I was going to mount some on my bumper, it'd be black, virtually invisible in daytime, impossible to miss at night. More aesthetically pleasing option, IMHO.

The answer to the "do you think people cannot see a vehicle.." is "Yes. Absolutely.". I have seen this way to many times and have actually experienced it myself on a few occasions. It is midnight, you are 20 miles from the nearest town, no moon, driving 65MPH on a 2-lane highway through the piney woods of East Texas, and all of a sudden there is an all black pick-up with zero lights on that has parked on the side of the road (but still sticking 2-3 feet out into the highway). Been there, done that. Even with good head-lights, a dark-colored vehicle can blend-in on a dark night until you are almost right on top of it (and some of the camo or forest green colored trucks can be even worse).

Right now I am trying to figure out how to "brighten up" my Area 51. Now that I have it, I realize that it is pretty much the exact same color as they typical spring Texas thunderstorm. I can see how it would totally blend in during a typical heavy Houston afternoon rain. I don't trust the running lights to fully alert those behind me (especially if the re-gen hybrid braking is making me decelerate without brake lights faster than most folks would expect).

What color does it reflect?

That's been around and used by Ford since well before my '70 BOSS302 car was built. Same car, same paint and stripes, but a pic in the sun light and at night with a flash:

not something i had considered but i dont see anything wrong with a 'better safe than sorry' approach, especially one as simple as this. i can see where these could be helpful, i will probably add these to my rig as well.

I removed the upper stickers and just left the lower corner ones because you could see the reflection through the door seam when it was shut. The lower corner one doesn’t.

Use the Maverick reflective letters on tailgate. Will look much better. IMHO
That’s what I would suggest.

In my last vehicle I had three different people almost run into my open door in parking lots when it was dark. Fortunately, in every instance they noticed the reflector at the last minute and hit the brakes before hitting my open door.

People are stupid, or drunk, or high, or all the above.

We are a reckless, idiotic society now.
