The Ugly 2025 Maverick Front End Solution...Best Idea EVER!!

I'd be able to overlook the protrusions on some darker colors, but I'd never own anything darker than my current Carbon Grey and I think the main thing that is turning me off is the grille itself. It was already kind of a miss on the grilles in the 1st gen and this just accentuates it.

The funny thing is those protrusions exist on other models, like the Ranger - but the front end was designed around them so it's not even noticeable. The headlights really make the difference. The solution for the Maverick would have been to keep the similar dimensions to fill that gap. The F150 did it perfect with the same "fang" style DRL's (which I'm leaning towards hating given the cost of replacements).

Overall though, a lot of folks willing to overlook this.

Kept going with the grill.

Well now it’s a Toyota Scout…

They need to design the moustache in a way that breaks up the smooth lines. I toyed with a color-matched carbon fiber texture in photoshop and it looked decent enough. For accessories, a lightbar with two floodlights that stick up on either side of the grill would probably look pretty solid. Or just extending the grill facade down works better too. They could have also moved the grill down and had the LED strip as a third center piece to connect across.

But the new front-end is definitely a step backward.

Hit me with a #3 and a light bar across the top and 2026 lookin good!!
