That shade of blue does nothing for the looks of the Maverick. I think the teal color Jeep has on the Renegade would look great.

Yep. I've got plans. And expendable income.

The lines of the Maverick present some challenges, as does the abundance of existing black plastic accents, but I think there's fun to be had.

Is that a promise? I hope so. I aspire to get an old Ranger one day and already have a diecast of one I like.

Just poking around on CarGurus and came across the new color simply called Light Blue. That's according to Ford's online configurator. It reminds me of Robin's Egg Blue on the Bronco and Bronco Sport Heritage Editions. I'm not sure if I like it or not. It seems a bit loud like Orange Fury. Also, it doesn't really fit the character of the Maverick. What do you think? Anyone have one of these on order?

Kinda like “Baby Blue”, the boy was not a mistake… just a happy accident!

Years ago I had a 66 Ford Galaxie 500 that was baby blue looks about that same shade of color. So far my favorite colors on the Mav are Cactus Grey, Desert Sand and Area 51. My wife’s HPR Mav is not bad and I can live with my eruption green Mav.

To me, some of the pics looked more white than blue, and it seemed lighter than the other vehicles' light blue it was compared to.
Post #49 above showed up while I was typing this, and if I didn't know what I was looking at color wise, I'd say it was a white Maverick.
Not a criticism, just an observation.

Absolutely. Something like Dodge's "Plum Crazy" or Jeep's "Reign" would look great.

I also think a louder, lighter green could work, but they'd have to change up that blue plastic on the interior. It clashed with Eruption (otherwise a pretty good color, imo) and it would clash even more with, like, Electric Lime or whatever.

Need a deep purple color!

Also, if you're not already familiar, lol up the Rev. Horton Heat song "Galaxie 500." It's off an album that most people ignore, but I think it's on par with his/their best work.

Is your order light blue??? Light colors often get splashes of black like the picture shows. Looks pretty good.
There was a thread a few months ago where the poster had a desert sand and was going to decal/wrap the classic baby blue for the retro look… not sure if it happened.

I think adding black racing stripes up over the roof and down the tail gate would make it look pretty good. Especially if it had the black appearance package.

Interestingly, it's a social construct that completely flipped fairly recently. I'd have to look it up to get the timeline just right, but iirc, as recently as ~100 years ago, infant boys were dressed in pink, because it was seen as a more energetic, vital color and blue was viewed as passive and feminine.

Me? I just like fun colors. My car is orange. My glasses are green. My sunglasses are red. The shoes I'm wearing at the moment are pink. But hey, at least I'm wearing a black band t-shirt so everyone knows how very macho I am. Lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Everyone is an individual, with their own personal preferences. I would agree with you on vehicles. An orange car would be cool. I painted my 88 Mustang LX Canary Yellow from the 1993 colors. The orange Mustang color came out right after I used yellow, but we painted my buddy's car the orange. No way I'm wearing pink shoes or red sunglasses though. Crazy bright car colors = cool, crazy bright clothing = not for me. Note the color of my bike in my icon though.

Yes the 66 had the stacked headlights. Mine was a 4 door with 289. I traded it for a black 64 2
door hardtop with 352 4 barrel carb and factory dual exhaust. I reupholstered the seats in dark red and added black keystone mags with black wall tires. It was a kind of a sleeper as it had bench seat and automatic. It was slow off the line so when anyone wanted to race me I’d say sure if they wanted to take it to expressway. I busted the speedometer twice on it as it only went to 120. I loved that car but when I got married my wife hated it so I ended up trading it for a 67 country sedan wagon, not near as flashy but it did have A/C where the 64 didn’t. After 50 years finally got my wife to agree with me as now we both have Maverick hybrids.

Yes, mine will be the light blue and look like the picture. I got the BAP for several reasons but a main one was I did not like the interior stock Lariat color combinations with the blue exterior. It looked too busy and like the cartoon dog Bluey.

I like the color, but any light color on the 25 & up front ends to me looks odd, dark colors make that weird piece under the headlights blend in. An old school two tone would make it better too.

I'm glad they keep the colors coming, but IMO they need to keep them going forward instead of doing this 1 year thing. Not just for insurance costs, but it's one of only two trucks to offer a wide color palate, the other being the Ram 1500. It's a big selling point.
