I picked up my Maverick Saturday and only have 50 miles on it. XLT, AWD, lux package, fx4 package, 4k towing package, co 360, sliding widow and full spare.
The good:
Almost everything it's pretty basic, it rides great, I love the seats very comfy, it has lots of power, haven't floored it yet, too new but I can tell it want to go.
I've been driving for 50 years and 35 of those I worked for a car dealer, first as a line tech 10 years then 25 as a manager.
The radio is OK, could be better just can't crank it up which I never do.
The info system is bare bones compared to vehicles I've been driving but has everything I need except wish it was wireless and larger screen wouldn't hurt.
It doesn't feel like a front wheel drive vehicle handles good and I like the steering.
I love the engine and transmission has been around a while and has been tested otherwise would of never purchased a first year model.
The bed and tailgate height is perfect for my 5'6" frame,
The not so good nothing BAD yet only 50 miles:
The windows auto up and down, going to take a while to get used to that, again maybe am spoiled but auto up and down has been around a long time.
I haven't had to take my keys out of my pocket in many years, maybe I am spoiled, almost ripped the door handle off a few times getting into locked truck, needs to be keyless and, push button start.
The gear selector, hate it, but will get used to it, I had a f150 with this selector and after a while got used to it, I liked resting my hand on the shifter.
So far theirs nothing BAD or ugly about this truck, I knew what I was getting into before I purchased it, I wanted to spend 30k on a vehicle and the maverick fit the ticket, I know FORD was trying to keep the price down and they did, I got a great looking truck with some nice package's for 31k, the average new car price at about 45k.
For local driving groceries, home depot and road trips you cant beat it.
With a few upgrades that don't cost much this could be a great truck and great deal.
Note:
Had a tapping noise leaving the dealer, easy find passenger seat belt touching B pillar, with widow open.
My dog loves the rear sliding window.
