The backup camera is useless when the tailgate is down. Is there a solution?

Again, if only I had known before I bought my 2025 Maverick Lariat.

Is there a Ford OEM or aftermarket auxiliary backup camera for use when the tailgate is down? Every time I go to the transfer station!
This is the same on almost every pickup. Gate down, camera faces down. Cars and SUV'S with hatches? Same thing, open the trunk or hatch and the camera points up. Most vans the cameras are mounted above the rear barn doors.

Maybe next time buy a van. Or add an aftermarket camera on the bumper.

I find it makes me a little dizzy. The other cameras look normal but the back camera blends weirdly.

I would have preferred the back camera just be disabled when in "tailgate down" mode.
Just drive home, don't back up, fry dealing with your sanity.
