Text messages

When I first took possession of my 2023 XLT Hybrid and I received a text message from my iPhone I was able to answer that text through the vehicle once the announced it.
Lately I’m able to receive the text announced by the vehicle but the reply function is not showing up on the screen. I’m not sure it was deleted by a software update or an issue with the iPhone

Check for updates for your truck's infotainment system and your phone.
Also, reboot your infotainment system and your phone.

Fro my experience, I think it's a "safety" setting that won't let you reply over x mph... I think mine is 3 or 4... leave it on the screen and slow down. It'll populate when you can use it.

My truck handles SMS/MMS OK, but ignores incoming RCS messages. Kinda eliminates the utility of the whole thing.
