Looks like the hybrid's red jump post is a piece of busbar that bolts into the high current junction box after the 300A fuse from the DC/DC Converter (Black X) and the high current BJB.

Yes I've read that it's a sacrificial metal piece in case it arcs on a jump evolution whereas the only is one piece, as mentioned.

It just doesn't seem like it's able to provide enough power due to its intended design

@AbnRgr I'll take a deep dive into your post in attempts to mimic your power source. Your lightbar definitely requires more power.

I drew power for my six gang switch panel’s control box from the terminal under the flip back black cover. Iā€˜m running Mabett’s roof-mounted light bar, a set of LED ditch lights, under the hood LED work lights, a 12ā€ LED light bar as a fog lamp, Raptor-like grill lights, and a 50ā€ LED strip as a running light with no problems.
I would like to know more about this setup. Combing through your various posts (not done yet), it looks like you tapped power from the 12V fuse box passenger side, inside the cabin, then ran power to this for the lights.

This may be the solution for a lot of us moving forward to be able to accessorize easily

There are four wires going out from the under the hood control box for the interior switch panel. There is the large black common ground attached to an appropriate point of bare metal. There is the large red 12V power source that passes through an independent firewall mounted circuit breaker and onward to the 12V positive terminal under the flip back black cover. Two smaller gage wires pass through the firewall into the cabin. The red is routed under the dash to the floorboard fuse box and connected to an accessory fuse. It shuts everything down until the ignition is switched on. Th other wire is routed to the switch panel. In my case I mounted mine on the eyeglass overhead cover. Each of the six accessories is routed to the control box and its own individually fused + & - connection. Having all six items on at the same time has not been a problem, but that was only to test the overall power draw. Questions?

I would prefer to remove the cover in order to cut a channel for the cable and being able to close it over te terminal.
Did you find a solution for the black cover trimming? Would you mind posting a photo of your connection and cover solution?

I'm thinking of a similar set up but with an air compressor, ditch lights, etc. Would you mind posting a photo of your switch set up too?
