I'm 6'9" and drive a little Hyundai Veloster. I used to drive a little 2 seat Geo Metro. As long as there isn't anything in the middle to block my right knee I'll make it work. I was going to buy a new Camaro but couldn't because there was no right knee room in the newer models.

good pics, very reassuring. I was able to change my order to one without a sunroof, so this should be all good now.

They are definitely upright, but nothing special compared to other trucks I have been in. I wasn't uncomfortable, but definitely wasn't ready for a 4 hour roadtrip.

Thank you for clarifying. Honestly, they don't look very comfortable from the pictures you kindly posted. My kids are quickly growing early teens and those rear seat back look much too upright be comfortable for anything but a short trip around town. I may have to look at the Santa Cruz instead and see how that it is which is a shame because I much prefer the looks of the Maverick.

Welcome to the forum.

While I'm nowhere near your height, I have a problem with my right knee I have to think about.
Yes, this is a bigger concern actually for me as well in all cars. The center console and its width.
Believe it or not I used to own an '03 MINI Cooper and later an 08 MINI Clubman ... both those generations had like super low center consoles where I could swing my right leg right into the shifter ;) ... leg room lenght was insane also.

6'4'' and 270 here. Sat in one last week and was very happy with legroom and head room. I am confident enough I ordered the sunroof . Also sat in a Bronco Sport and had plenty of head room.

I do prefer smaller vehicles though because I am the one who passes on the right lane of the 3 lane Texas highway while everyone is backed up in the left lane. Then I scoot over. Can't really scoot in an F150.

I think legroom is less in Santa Fe if I remember correctly. Pictures and videos I have been make it look smaller inside than the Maverick. If you can wait it out so you can sit in both and compare.

That's my plan, I'm definitely going to try them both out first before making a decision.

I see you are in NY as well ... I can't seem to locate any Santa Cruz in dealer stock around here either yet.
Are you in the boroughs or upstate?

I'm upstate, closer to Albany. There are a couple of dealers here who have Santa Cruz's on their website I don't know if they actually them yet.

Hey everyone ... new here and first time considering a pickup in my 50 years.
We have a Volvo XC60 that's nearing lease end and while a great car I'm not buying it out.
Also I long for something simpler, practical and a well priced. It is also time to come back to an American brand.

That being said I am 6'7" and while I can fit in a lot of cars well, there aren't many that are comfortable for longer rides.
For those of you that have sat in a Maverick so far, what's your take on it as far as driver comfort?

I'd like to order one, but will most likely have to wait until I can sit in one first ...

I'm 6'5" and I daily Ford Focus hatch with plenty of room. My car also has a moonroof. Nobody can sit behind me but I can scoot forward if needed.

This should be plenty of room. I sat in 2021 escape and ranger the other day and they had plenty of room for me. Full size Bronco felt a little cramped on headroom space though, made me feel a little claustrophobic.

Interesting on the interior space of the Bronco ... I've been causally interested in it but price wise it makes absolutely no sense. The bare bones base seems like the one to get and just build up.

I also feel that while seemingly capable, it's still no Wrangler and dare I say a bit more refined looking and mall friendly. Ford seemed to kill the momentum of the release with the roof issues and general slow availability also.

I drove a wrangler unlimited Rubicon and I'd say the Bronco has more space width wise. Though headroom is less than hardtop wrangler. That's hardtop vs hardtop.

I also found Broncos interior very sturdy and heavy duty though slightly a bit rough around the edges. I guess that's the point. Much better than the wrangler
