The Maverick's about the same size as my '88 F-150 was. Not a little truck.

It is smaller than the ridiculously over-sized big trucks they're building now.

With the ladder in the position I have it, you can get a variety of clamp around an item and hold it steady against the ladder.

I use my down tailgate for a workbench quite often myself.

Me too, but I miss the F150 holes allowing a clamp to go under the tailgate. This somewhat awkwardly gets around that.
