I just noticed that the upped tailgate molding is scratching the paint.
Has anyone else seen this? I searched the FORUMs and didn't find anything.
Would this be covered under warranty?

I checked mine, no wear. But also not enough play in the TG moulding to cause that. I'd doubt it's warrantable but can't hurt to try.

Hello! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this paint concern? Thank you!

I'm honestly having a hard time seeing any scratches. Is there a particular part I should be looking at in the pictures?

The scratches are the white lines between the top molding and the red tailgate.
Blow up the photo.

Did you go over your truck with a microscope to find that?

I’d definitely reach out to the FOMOCO account on here (like 3rd post down). They responded to one of my concerns. That is strange with the paint/molding. Mine hasn’t done that… yet!

Not the fix you want to hear. If they paint the tailgate it might look worse. Take off molding. Buy matching touch up paint. Use a quick swipe with paint brush. You probably won’t notice marks.

Maybe they messed his tailgate up at the factory but still out the plastic over it
