Bumping this thread so I can follow it for future reference. Noticed a loose seal on the rear driver’s side roof while washing my truck earlier this afternoon.

Yup, happening to my truck too
Mine started on both sides about a week ago. Have about 4,600mi on my truck and take it through the car was 1-2 times a week.

I will prob just go the super glue/sealant DIY method to make life easy.

Yes, I have the same problem with roof molding at 2k miles! Took to dealer and they ordered a new piece, however, said it was on back order for 2 months!

Well JUST got mine fixed today and when I went to the truck to drive it home SAME thing on opposite side now! It’s like really dealer could t see that while fixing the other side?
had to go in and get someone to come it to validate my complaint! Now I’m holding on back order AGAIN! I can see this will be never ending issue.

Hello, Connor! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!
For the 2023 model, will Ford remake these to have the rubber run the full length on both sides instead of a measly 6 inches at the rear of the roof?

They’ll probably remove it all together. I dont think it does anything important. Maybe wind noise or just aesthetics to cover a large panel gap.

It would be nice for a response from Ford on this issue before people order a 2023 and have to find out the hard way after a car wash or just simple driving. I am waiting to order one as I would like to see the changes to 2023 models. Hoping to see cruise in the XL or ebony interior options in leather or cloth in other trim levels.

I haven't had mine come loose yet, but I did notice I get an occasional rattle that seems to be coming from the headliner where it meets the front of my sunroof. Pressing on it I can get the rattle to stop. Since this stuff is all tied together it seems like an annoyance that will happen more and more in this area as these age.

Having same issue. Just left the dealership who wants me to leave the truck for 8 days before they will even look at it...sounds like glue is the way to go.

Those that have had the issue. Was it covered under warranty? Mine was a little loose. Then the one time I didn’t back into my parking spot, that corner sat in direct sunlight on a 100 degree day and warped really badly.

I found mine snapped right off flush with the edge after running though a car wash. I notice the other side is flimsy and surprised it has not snapped off as well. Was going to bring it up at my next oil change before fixing it myself.

Man, I can't believe it's been almost three years since I posted on this issue. Where does the time go? Since then, I've moved onto a '24 Maverick Lariat FX4 and knock on wood, so far. No recalls. I'm also happy to report that Ford addressed this pesky roof molding issue for the 24 model year. I haven't had any issues after well over a year in the elements and other 24s I see on the road don't seem to have it either. I'm guessing yours is a 22 or 23 if you're bringing this up?

Yes, mine is a MY23. I posted becasue I saw that someone from Ford replied, so maybe continue to get traction on this and maybe there will be a recall, since it is fixed on MY24.
