Tailgate Lock on Maverick?

Has anyone determined if the tailgate will have a lock? I haven't seen anything about that. The pictures I've looked at I can't zoom in close enough to tell.

It would be nice to know before wasting money on a tonneau cover.

Your Lariat tailgate will lock and unlock along with the doors using your fob. It's a nice feature.

Everyone by now knows that all trims have a tailgate lock. I have a question: is there supposed to be a separate key for the tailgate? My fob key does not insert into the tailgate lock.

It will, it’s just fussy as sh*t…. Took some serious fishing the first time (and is what drove me to adding a power actuator from a ranger along with the wiring harness for around $125)

That lock that is an option is most likely the one that bolts onto the hinge so people cannot steal your tail gate. It’s kinda like this one from Amazon I think.

Does it match Maverick? I didn't find Maverick on its fit list...
